High Purity 99.95 Tungsten Products Pure Tungsten Bars For Steel Melting
Tungsten has the highest melting point of all metals and is therefore also suitable for very high-temperature applications. It is also characterized by a uniquely low coefficient of thermal expansion and a very high level of dimensional stability.
Tungsten is resistant to corrosion when the humidity is below 60%. However, it must be protected at elevated temperatures. Tungsten can oxidize in the presence of oxidizing gases at temperatures above 250° C. Despite this vulnerability, Molten glass, nitrogen, inert gases, molten metals and ceramic oxides only slightly affect it.
Tungsten Rods Availability
Tungsten rod is manufactured as random length pieces or cut to customers' desired lengths. Standard diameter and length tolerances are listed as follows. Other, closer tolerances can be quoted on request. In addition, there are three different surface processes or finishes which are provided, depending upon the desired end use.
Dimensions of Tungsten Bar:
(10-14)×(10-14)×(400-600) mm
The length of the finished tungsten bar for W1, W2, and W3 should not be less than 300mm, and that for W4 should not be less than 30mm.
Appearance of Tungsten Bar:
The appearance of tungsten bar turns to be metallically gray or dark gray. Hygroscopy is not allowed on the appearance of W1 ,W2, and W3 tungsten bars.
